FAQ

CLASSES:

  • I DIDN’T FIND THE RIGHT CLASS FOR ME

Please get in touch and let me know what you would like to learn and I will do my best to introduce new classes.

  • I DIDN’T FIND UPCOMING AVAILABILITY FOR THE CLASS I’M INTERESTED IN

Please get in touch and I’ll try to find a solution.

  • THE CLASSE I AM INTERESTED IN IS FULLY BOOKED, IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO?

I’m sorry if you didn’t find a spot for the class you like…please drop me a line and I will do my best to squeeze you in some other upcoming class.

  • I WOULD PREFER ONE-TO-ONE TUTORING, IS THAT POSSIBLE?

Of course, it is. Please write me an email and I will tailor the perfect baking experience for you. Private classes can focus on a wide range of products, from sweet to savoury, from layer cakes to decorated biscuits and much more: just ask!

  • IN WHICH LANGUAGE ARE THE CLASSES TAUGHT?

Classes are generally taught in English, but for one-to-one tutoring or friends’ groups, I’m comfortable to teach also in Spanish, Portuguese or Italian.

  • CLASS SIZE

All classes are taught in very small groups, usually four people at a time, so to give you the maximum attention.

  • HOW DOES CLASS WORK?

You will be working in par and will be making a full recipe, as per the recipe cards I will provide a few days before the class. The full recipe will be baked in two different batches so that each one can bring home what it’s been baking in class.

  • CLASS DURATION

The duration of each class is approximately 3 hours. This means that the class can run slightly overtime or last a bit less, depending on the speed of each group. Please bear this in mind when arranging your agenda.

  • I HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If you have any food allergy, please contact me before booking a class.

  • DO I NEED TO HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE TO ATTEND YOUR CLASSES?

No, you don’t! I’ll guide you step by step and will enable you to replicate each recipe at home, following the instructions in the recipe card.

  • DO I NEED TO HAVE A STAND MIXER AT HOME TO MAKE WHAT I LEARNED IN THE CLASS?

No, you don’t! A stand mixer can make your baking life easier, but you will be taught to execute every recipe using a hand-held mixer so that you can easily replicate it at home.

                                                                       ON THE DAY:

  • WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Just bring a pen and paper to take your notes and a hair tie if you have long hair. I will supply all the equipment you need for the class, an apron to borrow and the recipe cards of what we will be baking on the day. More, you will take home what you’ve baked in the class, to share and enjoy with friends and family!

  • LATENESS AND NO SHOW

Please be punctual for the class, so to make the most out of it. If you are late, though, you will be joining the class at the stage it is when you arrive. Please, also bear in mind that if you don’t show up without any previous notice, you are not entitled to a refund or a replacement class.

  • LOCATION

I teach all the classes from my home kitchen, located in North West London, between Hampstead and Finchley road. It is easily accessible by tube with the Jubilee and Northern line, by overground and by a number of bus lines. I will provide the full address upon booking confirmation.
