FAQ

  • GENERAL INFO

I teach baking classes in person and online (on request only). My classes are taught individually or to small groups of maximum 4-6 people to ensure you work comfortably and have my full attention. All classes last 3 hours, unless you book a private session, in which case content and duration can be fully customised. No previous experience is required, I’ll guide through the process step by step and you will be surprised of what you can achieve! People with previous baking experience, on the other hand, will have the chance to perfect their skills and have useful tips to take their baking to the next level.

  • PRIVATE CLASSES & CORPORATE EVENTS

If you book a private class I can tailor my tuition according to your specific needs, creating a bespoke experience for you. If you are looking to organise a family event, a hen party, a special gift to a friend or a team-building event, please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss the options. Private classes can focus on a wide range of products, from sweet to savoury bakes, from layer cakes to decorated biscuits and much more: just ask!

  • GIFT CARDS

If you are looking for the right present, why not to gift friends and family with a voucher for one of my classes? Trust me, it’ll be a much-appreciated gift. Please drop me an email and we will arrange everything together. Vouchers can be redeemed within 12 months from the purchase.

  • WHAT TO BRING

You don’t need to bring anything, I will supply all the ingredients and equipment you need for the class, recipe cards handed out in class and sent by email, an apron to borrow during the session and boxes to take home what you’ve been baking in class. If you want to help reducing the impact on the environment, though, please feel free to bring your own containers and reusable carrier bag.

  • FOOD ALLERGIES and INTOLERANCES

If you have any food allergy or intolerance, please contact me prior to the booking.

  • CLASSES LANGUAGE

Classes are generally taught in English, but for one-to-one tutoring or private events, I’m available to teach in Spanish, Portuguese or Italian.

  • LOCATION AND TRANSPORTS

My baking classes are taught in my home kitchen, a cosy environment fully equipped to host small groups. My home is located in NW3 London, between Hampstead and Finchley road. Jubilee, Metropolitan and Northern lines are at short walking distance, as well as Finchley Road and Frognal overground station. Several buses also stop close by. If you drive, a pay and display street parking is available. I will provide the full address upon booking confirmation.

  • LATENESS AND NO SHOW

Please be punctual for the class, so you can make the most out of it. If you are late, you will be joining the class at the stage it is when you arrive. In case of private class, we won’t be able to cover the full program, as sessions will not run over the established time. Please check in advance for strikes, weather conditions, etc. and plan accordingly. Please, also bear in mind that if you don’t show up for whatever reason, you will not be entitled to a refund or a replacement class.

  • CANCELLATION

If, for any reasons, you are unable to attend a class you’ve booked, you can reschedule the booking by writing an email at info@thesweetbit.com with at least one week notice and I’ll try to accommodate you in the next available spot for the same class. Unfortunately I won’t be able to issue a refund for the class. Alternatively you can transfer the booking to another person.
